At Sherman Methodist Church, we consider it part of our mission to make a difference in the world around us. One of the key ways we do that is by maintaining a culture of generosity. God was generous to us when He sent His Son to die for us, and He continues to be generous to us by providing for us daily. In response to His generosity, we also want to live life with open hands, committed to helping others.

When we tithe, we demonstrate that we trust God with our finances. At Sherman Methodist Church, we believe tithing is a biblical principle.
God calls us to give the first 10% of our income back to Him acknowledging that He is our source and provider.
We’ve seen God provide incredible financial blessings in our church, and we know He will do the same for you and your family when you put Him first in your finances.
The principle of the tithe is the ONLY place in scripture where God challenges us to test Him!
